UNIQUENESS OF CREATIVE WRITING

UNIQUENESS OF CREATIVE WRITING

Like humans, animals and plants they have their own differences and similarities the way they exist in this world and we already know what are those things that can be classify them. But my topic for this blog is something interesting to manifest and to gain more knowledge about it. The question is, what are the similarities and differences between Creative Writing, Technical Writing, and Journalism?

Before we know what are the differences and similarities between of this three we want to define them first. Creative writing is writing that expresses ideas and thoughts in an imaginative way. The writer gets to express feelings and emotions instead of just presenting the facts.Technical writing is not written to entertain. It has its own set of rules, conventions, do’s and don’ts, masterpieces and pieces of rubbish.Technical writing is a type of writing where the author is writing about a particular subject that requires direction, instruction, or explanation. And lastly, Journalism a news articles, feature stories in magazines, sports news, and many others found in broadsheets and tabloids belong to journalism. In this side of writing, the writer must gather credible sources to write informational truth behind current issues.

Creative writing, Technical writing, and Journalism what are the differences between this three? Well, The differences between creative writing and technical writing are that creative writing is written mainly to entertain with the creativity of the mind and technical writing is written mainly to inform in a formal manner or to incite the reader to make an action such as purchase the writer’s product. Creative writing and Journalism are two opposite ends of the literary rope. Their difference is grounded on the fact that journalism relies heavily on the truth, facts, current events, and knowledge. Creative writing, on the other hand, comprises much on art, fiction, and imagination. This is why these two ends don’t meet. Technical writing concerns a technical topic, and it is brief, logical and explanatory, in basic or simplified language, hopefully while Journalism is the practice of investigation and reporting of events, issues, and trends to a broad audience. Although there is much variation within journalism, the ideal is to inform the citizenry.

What are the similarities between this three? Well, for me this three subjects help us to improve our writing skills to learn new things that we don't actually encounter in the past learning's. Help us to entertain and educate of the basic structures that can build our new knowledge for us to get ready with the things that can test our writing skills. This three is relies heavily on the truth, facts, current events, and knowledge. We enjoy writing and reading some novels and stories, not because they are necessary to read or helpful for us, just because we get a certain pleasure from reading them. The target of this three is to let us know what else can we do to express our ideas, style of representing writing, and etc. But after all this three is already a big knowledge for us to pursue the things that we love. Writing is exploration you start from nothing and learn as you go.
